Scott Conway                                                                     Matty trains me once a week for my boxing training, where he focuses on my balance and agility, but also my flexibility.

Since I've been with Matty i've felt a lot quicker on my feet, due to the fact that we do a lot of speed and agility training, but also concentrating on plyometric training to help my explosive speed.

Matty is a great trainer and i look forward to every session i have with him because i know it's going to work me to the best of my ability.

Matt trains me 3 times a week, he focuses my training to improve my rugby skills.
My strength has gone through the roof, i am chest pressing 140kg, and bicep curling 27.5kg on each side of the bar!
I feel powerful and stronger on the pitch.
I have also gone from 16.5stone to 15stone in body weight, whilst maintaining all of my muscle.

Matt Trains me once a week, the training, is football specific and designed to my own personal needs. I've noticed a vast improvement in my core and leg strength.

Training with Matt is hard, but fun and his unique sense of humour makes the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. i would recommend it to anybody!

I chose to use a personal trainer at the beginning of 2009. I have been in and out of various gyms and never really managed to get into it seriously. My main goal was to shed some weight and tone up all over.
Matt has managed to help me reduce my weight (by 17 kgs in 6 months) as well as tone up and has given me the inspiration to go to the gym regularly and keep myself fit.
6 months on I have not yet reached my goal but I am well on the way. Getting into shape and being able to keep up a positive attitude towards working out is now much more enjoyable.
Basically Matt helped me change my life right down to my eating habits and I'm now a happier person.

I have joined many gyms throughout my life, gone for the induction….then having no drive or motivation never used the membership.
Reaching 40 was a turning point in my life suddenly realising things were heading south!! Knowing I needed to do something I once again talked about needing exercise, but having no motivation did nothing.
My 18 year old son had started work at Fitness First Derby and once again persuaded me to join, same old story joined had my induction, then nothing. My son talked about the personal trainers there, in particular Matt Carlin.
I had never considered a personal trainer before, but now I was 41, felt tired, unfit was loosing my shape and the weight was slowly creeping up.
I was told Matt was ex forces, military style training wasn’t for me, how could I? I was so unfit.
My son once again persuaded me to book a session with Matt and I was very pleasantly surprised.
Matt was enthusiastic energetic and motivated me from the moment we met. We spoke about diet and my goals…I wanted more energy to get fit and tone. Matt assesses all his clients individually and knows exactly when to push and when to ease off.
I have been training with Matt now for 6 months and never looked back. I feel energised, the changes in my shape are phenomenal and at last I have the motivation I have always lacked. I miss our sessions tremendously if I am unable to train.
I would recommend personal training to anyone – if you listen to your trainer you will definitely achieve your goals, and with Matt you get a personal trainer who listens, is very friendly and someone you can trust, a personal trainer in the truest sense.
